The Stars, the Wind, the Trees, the Flowers!

Lately I have become totally entranced, mystified by the trees and the flowers.  Did you know that the branches of trees point upward to the sky because they are in constant praise and worship of God?  Did you know that when you are in tune with your heart, you can actually hear the flowers talk?

I know I sound like a crazy person but it is true.  If we become truly quiet inside ourselves, expressing love, being love, we begin to listen to the messages found in nature, because it is in nature that God resides.  He created all things and they all praise Him.  When we get that quiet we can actually feel the gentle brush of truth.  It is like a subtle wind that brushes up against us in the quiet and even darkest moments of our life.  When we come to Him with questions, we get that soft wind blowing against us so gently that if we weren't so desperate to hear it, we might even miss it.  That is the gentle brush of truth.  It usually tells us who we really are, reminds us we are divine beings, reminds us of our power and of the happiness and joy that is our birthright.

Sunday Notes

Here are some principles I learned this Sunday:

-The power of sisterhood lies in vising with each other, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, talking about the dark topics in our life and allowing others to help us.  It is when we talk, that we can bring light into the dark parts of your lives and receive healing.

-The more we learn to love ourselves, the less we feel a need to rebel against God and against the truth.  The more you love yourself, the more you embrace the truth because you realize that it's all for your greater good.

-I'm loving this scripture in Proverbs 3: 13-26
13 ¶Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21 ¶My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26 For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

If You've Ever Wondered If You Can Have It All

Read this post on the Huffington Post about three sisters who created a multimillion dollar business.

Because we are children of God, we can create anything.  Anything!  Even the things that are unimaginable.

He Makes Weak Things Strong Unto Us

I'm so inspired by this video I found today:

This woman, Maysoon Zayid, has cerebral palsy AND she is truly beautiful!  Her spirit is shining through!  She has found her soul's purpose on this Earth and she is contributing to people's happiness through her talent of comedy and humor.  I am so inspired by her!

As I listened to her interview I thought to myself, of how this woman's strength lies in her weakness.  It was a gift to God for her and she has been able to discover that and use that to her advantage in her life.  I thought of how there are no failures or mistakes.  God's hand is in all of our lives.  I thought of how beautiful she is and how there will always be people who are governed by demons-- people who want to tear us down, people who do not see with their spiritual eyes but rather hold on to the physical and carnal things as evidence of false truths.  Each person on this Earth must be stronger than these demons.  We must know our worth.  That we are children of God and that we are beautiful and that in our weakness is where God manifests His miracles.  Through our weaknesses we can honor God and find our greatest strengths.  If this woman has done this, why can't I?

Elder Gerald Causse said:

One of the most comforting teachings of the gospel is that each son and daughter of God—every one of us—is born with an inheritance of gifts, talents, and abilities that can help us through our earthly mission. The scripture says, “For there are many gifts, and to every man is given a gift by the Spirit of God.”7 We cannot be happy and successful in life without gratefully acknowledging those gifts and doing all we can to develop them. Our problem is never that we have no strengths; the problem comes when we do not recognize our strengths and build upon them...I assure you, the Lord has the power to transform your weaknesses into strengths! The promise made by the Lord to the Apostle Paul is valid for each of you: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”5 And then Paul added, “For when I am weak, then am I strong.”6--2 Corinthians 12:10.

“God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”4-- 1 Corinthians 1:27.

Purple Pansies

Today was a rainy day.  I take the subway to work everyday and today was a downpour.  I watched as people who had forgotten their umbrella at home ran through the street drenched.  As I walked to work I couldn't help but see the darkness in the clouds, but then I saw the beautiful flowers in the garden.  They were beautiful!

And I got even more inspired when I thought of this little song I learned as a child:
  1. 1. Little purple pansies, touched with yellow gold,
    Growing in one corner of the garden old;
We are very tiny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
  2. 2. In whatever corner we may chance to grow,
Whether cold or warm the wind may ever blow,
Dark the day or sunny, we must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.

Want to be Invincible?

Knowing that Christ will comfort us can bring us peace and inspire us to follow His example by ministering to others.

President Thomas S. Monson said: “Our knowledge of the gospel and our love of our Heavenly Father and of our Savior will comfort and sustain us and bring joy to our hearts as we walk uprightly and keep the commandments. There will be nothing in this world that can defeat us.  My beloved brothers and sisters, fear not. Be of good cheer. The future is as bright as your faith.”  --Be of Good Cheer, Thomas S. Monson

Letting Go

I found this email by Guy Finley in my inbox this morning and I'm totally loving it.  He says:

As the truth of our situation becomes clear -- that we experience in life what we are, no more, no less -- we can begin simply to release ourselves, to let go of what we're sure we must have to be free... and all of its certainty about how things should be. And, from out of this new awareness a whole new kind of need is awakened within us, one that goes before us at all times. It is a silent request to the Almighty: Please step in and rule this moment...we will find that God, in turn, places us where troubles can no longer touch us.
What are you holding on to at this moment?  What can you release to God?  God doesn't just go with us.  He goes before us.

More

This song is by Kenneth Cope and the video is by McKenzie McDonald.

I love this song!  It lights me from within.

To Sweep The Earth as with a Flood

As children of God we are all one.  We are not separate.  We see each other as separate through our natural way of seeing, but when we begin to see with our spiritual eyes we realize that we are all interconnected.  We succeed together.

The world has gone through many eras but the one we are presently is exciting because there is so much wisdom and knowledge of spiritual truths being shared by people all over the world.  The world is hungry for spiritual truths and awakenings.
‘For, verily, the sound must go forth from this place into all the world, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth—the gospel must be preached unto every creature’ (D&C 58:64)

People are realizing that there is something beyond what we see.  There is a force beyond the physical dimension that supports us and loves us.  The more we share these truths with each other and give gratitude to God for them, the more we will receive to benefit us.  It's all for our benefit.

You may already know many of these truths yourself through your own religion.  I love all religions.  I encourage you to share your truths with me as well.   What is most important than religion is that we come to know God.  And that we practice His truths in our lives so we can be happy.  I am always learning new things and I encourage you to share your truths with me.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog on all things spiritual and metaphysical.  The title of the blog All Things Denote There is a God is so powerful to me.  I have seen evidence of this truth in my life many times and also in the lives of others.  When we look at the sky, we know there is a God.  We see the clouds, we see the stars.  This weekend I went camping and there I was starring into the starry sky.  Looking at the Big Dipper and other beautiful constellations.  Stars without number.  How did God do it?  How did He create everything in this world, everything in the universe and how did he create me?  Everything testifies of Him.  Everything.  Even when we don't know that He is our God in our brain, we always know it in our heart.  Go ahead, if you don't know it, ask.  Ask it in your heart.  Ask from the very bottom of your heart with a true desire to know.  Ask Him directly.  Ask out loud.  Ask with in a teachable attitude.  You will get an answer.

The best part of everything is that God is always helping us.  He always wants the best for us.  His desire is for us to grow and become powerful like Him.  He wants us to learn the mysteries of the Earth.  He wants us to realize our own magnificent self- to have eyes to see what He sees in us!  He wants us to realize that we are Divine Royalty because we are his children.  We have his essence in us.  We are powerful to create anything we want to create because we are His children and He created us!

I love Him.  He is my Redeemer and I am so lucky to know the truths I know.  To know Him because he is Truth, the Beginning and the End.  In him, I am made strong.  With Him, I can do anything.

I hope you will enjoy my blog and find something useful here for yourself.  If you don't believe in God. Believe.  Don't waste another day of your life not believing.  If you can't believe it, at least desire to believe.  Ask the universe to help you in your desire to believe.  If you are or have gone through challenges in life, God is your answer.  Believe in Him.
